If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed—experiencing stress, sadness, anxiety, fear, or irritability—you don’t have to face it alone. Have you experienced a traumatic event, abuse or sexual assault? Have you witnessed something stressful or had a difficult childhood? Together we can work toward meaningful change and freedom from the impacts of these life experiences.
Our main therapist Alana has been working as a mental health professional for 10 years. She uses a blend of expressive arts therapy and sensorimotor (body-centred) psychotherapy. This integrative approach gently accesses different aspects of the mind and body. Engaging with art forms or the body is always optional—sessions may be spent entirely talking or story and, mindfulness or cognitive approaches are incorporated when helpful.
We walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, heal from trauma, and move toward a creative, meaningful, and healthy life. You are the expert of your own experience, and we meet you where you are with respect, humility, and genuine curiosity.
Some examples of people who have found this way of working to be helpful are first responders; survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other interpersonal trauma; adults and children with histories of childhood sexual abuse; and individuals living with PTSD and C-PTSD. We support clients with anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, grief and loss, loneliness, chronic illness–related stress, and a lack of meaning or joy.
We invite you to reach out for a conversation to see whether we may be a good fit to support you.
